The Enugu State Commissioner of Police Suleiman Balarabe has assured of the commands readiness to provide security in synergy with other security agencies, before, during and after the general elections.
According to cp Sulaiman Balarabe the state command will stop at nothing at ensuring that adequate security is provided for the voters, INEC officials as well as election materials and all police booths , stations, collection and collation centers.

Balarabe stated this while playing host to ECOWAS commission team from Abuja on election observation mission within south east zone led by Dr.Onyinye Onwuka who paid a courtesy visit to the command with a view to finding out level of preparedness on security as well as neutrality of security agencies during the election.

The commissioner of police assured of the neutrality of the police pointing out that already police officers have been reminded on the provisions of guidelines for conduct of police officers on election duty as well as the need to be partisan but to remain professional at all time.
He also assured them of their security in the state as they go about their lawful duties.
