A man, Sikiru Agbaje, aged 45 years, who is battling with a kidney disease, has appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to the tune of N30m to undergo a kidney transplant.
Agbaje has been battling with kidney failure since 2019, a 45-year-old man seeks N30m for kidney transplantnd the ailment has drained his life savings.
He is presently living in the shadow of himself with a tiny body frame.
His friends and family members are currently seeking financial assistance from well-meaning Nigerians to save his life.
In a statement made on Wednesday, analysing the cost implications, his friends sought financial aid from the general public to revive the ailing man.
The statement read, “Dear friends and people of goodwill, we are reaching out to let you know that we are kicking off a campaign to help raise money for the medical expenses of Agbaje Sikiru Sola.
“You may have heard that the above-named was diagnosed with a severe form of kidney ailment, and specialists have recommended an urgent kidney transplant to save his life and to halt the effects of this devastating illness on his family.
“Please think about pledging to fundraise from your friends and family on his behalf. If you have other ideas, we are happy to hear them as well.
“Otherwise, please consider making as generous a gift as you can today. It would have a great impact on our fund-raising goal.”
The statement further highlighted an exclusion list that includes Atg injection (anti-rejection) for N375,000 each, plasma pheresis (cost varies), Hla crossmatch (cost varies), all pre-investigations, human albumin, and human immunoglobulin which would cost N2.5m before he is admitted.
