Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested two members of the notorious gang that killed the orderly to the Enugu state Deputy Governor, Sgt Helen Sunday.
The notorious gang was burst through a well-coordinated operation borne out of Intelligence information.

A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu indicate that the two suspects identified as Emmanuel Onyeabor and Kanu Oti were picked a day after the incident from their various hideouts at Loma Linda Estate, Independence Layout axis and Amorji Nike axis of Abakpa in Enugu East Local Government Area after a serious gun duel.
Amaraizu disclosed that other members of the gang escaped with gunshot wounds just as a manhunt for them has been intensified and urged members of the public and hospital operators about information concerning anyone suspected to be with bullet wounds.
In their confessional statements, the suspects revealed that their motive was to rob their victims but the deceased resistance prompted them to shoot her in the head at close range.
It was further gathered that suspects who were allegedly operating in their Mercedes Benz car, were out on that fateful day for their nefarious activities at a street off Nike lake road, Trans-Ekulu axis Enugu on 9/5/17 in the night, ran into the deceased who was returning from work and robbed her of her bag containing her phone and some amount of money.
The deceased Infinix phone and other items were recovered from the suspects.
Meanwhile, the Enugu State Police Command has assured members of the public that its hand is on deck in partnership with sister security Agencies, and the state Government towards ensuring that the state is safe and secured.
