A business mogul , and Managing Director, EsomGod table water and Gburugburu Hospital and Maternity, Chief Stephen Iyida Ejiofor, a native of OBEDE Isiugwu/Ugwuoji autonomous community, Igbo Eze North local Government Area of Enugu State has commended Governor Peter Mbah for appropriating N971 billion for 2025 fiscal year, christened “Budget of Exponential Growth and Inclusive Prosperity”.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Enugu , Chief Ejiofor said the budget signalled Governor Mbah’s visionary leadership and dedication to sustainable development of the state.
He described the budget which allocated N837.9 billion to capital expenditure as a bold move towards realizing a brighter future for the people of Enugu State.
According to Chief Ejiofor, the ambitious budget underscores Governor Mbah’s unwavering commitment to addressing critical areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, job creation, and economic growth adding that by prioritizing transformative projects, His Excellency continues to demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the citizens.
He equally commended the Governor for the numerous ongoing projects in various sectors, including construction of 260 Smart Green Schools in the 260 wards in the state, construction of type 2 health centres, dualisation of Ugwuogo- Nike- Opi-Nsukka Road, Rehabilitation of the Enugu International Conference Centre as well as construction of 300 bed capacity international hospital and presidential hotel among others.
“In addition to the 2025 budget, we commend Governor Mbah for the numerous development projects he has embarked on since assuming office. His administration’s focus on revitalizing key sectors, fostering innovation, and ensuring inclusive governance has already begun to yield tangible results, positively impacting the lives of many”.
“Notable initiatives such as improved road networks, investments in technology-driven education, healthcare advancements, and initiatives to attract private sector investments are setting a new standard for governance in Enugu State. These efforts are paving the way for sustainable growth and positioning the state as a model of progress and development”.
