Corp members posted to Enugu state have been assured of their safety and security while their service lasted in the state.
Enugu State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Sp Ebere Amaraizu gave the assurance at National Youth Service Corp Permanent orientation ground at Awgu in Enugu state during a security sensitization/campaign against cultism and other vices.
According to Amaraizu, the command attaches importance to security and safety of corps members and urged them to complement the effort by being law-abiding and security conscious.
“You have to distance yourself from crime in order not to ruin your future and you have to shun cultism and other vices and join the command in the campaign against cultism and other vices. We have a strong partnership with the state NYSC Coordinator and management and this has brought about continuous sensitization/enlightenment of corp members”. Ebere stated.
Earlier, there was performance with various police Anti crime Jingles for sensitization by a police Partner/social crusader Ben Motanya who also advised Corps members to join hands with the police towards building a united Nigeria devoid ofvices.
It could be recalled that the state command of the Nigeria Police Force through its public Relations office has recently renewed its campaign against cultism and other vices.
Within the period, Distress call numbers/commands social media platforms including that of the Police Complaint Rapid Response Unit were distributed to corps members and staff.
