The Delta State government says it is not currently recruiting or employing staff into the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.
A statement issued by the Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on DESOPADEC explained that the state government uncovered fraudulent activities of some criminals who have printed FAKE Employment Letters purportedly for recruitment or employing Staff into the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
“We wish to state categorically that such exercise DOES NOT exist at the moment. It is the dubious activities of some hoodlums not only to mislead and misinform the general public but to defraud gullible Deltans especially people from the Oil Producing Communities” the statement reads.
The statement noted that government “employment processes is not shrouded in secrecy and DESOPADEC as a Commission would not indulge in activities outside normal and acceptable practices.”
“To this, the general public is advised to disregard such employment news about DESOPADEC and NEVER to part away with money for such. Anyone who engages in that does so at his or her peril.”
