EEDC Begins Mass Disconnection of Defaulting Customers

The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC says it will begin mass disconnection of customers that have defaulted in payment of their electricity bills across EEDC’s 18 District Offices across the South East.

A statement issued in Enugu by EEDC Communications Manager, Emeka Ezeh said exercise will begin from Monday, 22nd February, 2021 and will last for the a week.

The statement advised Customers to ensure they pay up their bills and also make available the evidence of payment to officials of EEDC that will be visiting their homes/premises.

While expressing EEDC’s commitment to providing improved services to her customers, Ezeh maintained that prompt payment of electricity bills enable the company sustain its operations, attend to faults and other power supply challenges.

He said the mass disconnection exercise applies to both prepaid and postpaid customers.
