The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on March 23, 2020, arraigned one Alogba Olaoluwa before Justice Solebo on a one-count charge bordering on internet fraud.
The charge reads: “That you, Alogba Afeez Olaoluwa sometime in 2016 within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, knowingly had in your possession documents containing false pretence to wit: email conversation wherein you held yourself out as Courtney.”
The defendant pleaded “not guilty” to the charge preferred against him.
In view of the plea, Mohammad asked the court for a trial date and prayed the court to remand the defendant in the Correctional facility pending the outcome of the case.
However, the defence counsel informed the court that an application for bail was filed and served on the prosecution, he therefore urged the court to grant his client to bail.
Justice Solebo admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 and one surety in like sum.
The defendant was remanded in the EFCC custody pending the perfection of the bail conditions.
