ENUGU: South East Zonal Head, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Johnson Babalola, has restated the commission’s readiness to rid the country of corruption and ensure the equitable utilisation of the country’s resources for the benefit of Nigerians.
Babalola stated this today in Enugu at a press conference held to intimate the public of the commission’s achievements from January to this period.
Babalola who expressed gratitude to the media for the partnership extended to the EFCC throughout the country said although there has been a high resurgence of crime being recorded since the new dispensation took affairs of the Commission; there has however been a substantial success in the fight against corruption.
On the efforts to rid the country of crime and its attendant consequences on Nigerians, the Zonal Head urged members of the public and especially the banking industry on the need to collaborate with the commission to checkmate fraudulent activities of government officials and private individuals.
