A former member of Enugu State House of Assembly, who represented Enugu East Rural Constituency, Hon Joseph Agbo Ugwumba, has lost his wife, Lillian Roberts-Agbo, to the cold hands of death.
Until her death, on 12 July 2024, Lillian lived in the United States of America ( USA), where underwent long medical treatments before giving up the ghost.
According to a statement by the Agbo Ugwumba family of Ugwogo-Nike, her funeral begins on August 3 2024 at Unity Funeral Parlors Inc, Chicago, Illinois, USA, while a date for her internment in Ugwogo-Nike will be announced later.
She was survived by her husband, Hon Ugwumba; two children, Obieze and Akuabata Agbo and other family members.
The family invites friends and well-wishers in the mourning of the beautiful life of thier beloved wife and mother, who they said her vibrant spirit touched all who knew her, and that they were blessed to call her Mom.
“Her stunning fashion designs, graphic arts, and paintings were just a glimpse of her incredible talent and creativity. But her greatest gift to us was teaching us to approach life with positivity, boundless imagination, and courage in the face of challenges.
“We gather to honor her creative brilliance and the lasting impact she made on our lives. Please come share in our memories and help us celebrate a truly remarkable woman,” the children said in a statement.
They announced a dress code of White with a touch of color for Wake on 10am and funeral service by 11 am, while a Repast at the City Church Chicago will take place by 5pm.
The funeral service will be on live stream, which its link will be shared closer to the date.
Making Tributes on her late wife, Hon Ugwumba described Lillian as a virtuous woman and an entrepreneur per excellence who he met over 35 years ago, during his student days in Chicago Illinois USA.
Born as a daughter of Catherine Dorothy and Engr. Dr Erskien Goody Roberts, a famous Architect in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Ugwumba said that Lillian was full of love to him, leaving the America dream and followed him to Ugwuogo-Nike in the early 90s.
