The Enugu state government has completed over one hundred Sustainable Development Projects in various communities in the state. The projects include forty-seven boreholes and fifty-six health centres.
The Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on SDG’S, Mrs Mabel Agbo who disclosed this in an interview said 750 youths in the state are currently undergoing skill acquisition training in fashion design, barbing, hairdressing and aluminium profiling.
According to Mrs Agbo, the state government through the sustainable development goals initiative recently partnered google to offer digital training to one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight young entrepreneurs and unemployed youths from the 17 local government areas.
Agbo who is also the special adviser on inter-ministerial affairs said the payment of the state government counterpart funds by the state government contributed to the success recorded and timely completion of the projects.
She however, called on communities who have benefited from the SDGS projects to take ownership of projects sited in their communities by putting them to good use.
