Enugu state commissioner of Police, Danmallam Mohammed has urged Nigerian youths to be law abiding and contribute their quota to the development of their community and state.
Mohammed gave the charged when addressing students under the Aegis of Abakpa students and Association of the Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy Trans Ekulu Enugu state on the occasion of Abakpa Strategic Security Summit with the theme: “Youths United For Peace and Security”.
According to Danmallam, young people should shun negative tendencies that will bring them in conflict with the law and stressed the need for them to be law abiding.
Earlier while delivering a keynote address, the Special Adviser to Enugu State Governor on Security Matters, Brigadier General Fred Eze {Rtd} represented by Barr. Onuora Okeke advised youths to shun vices and contribute their quota in Nation Building.
In a panel discussion which featured the Enugu State Command Public Relations officer Sp Ebere Amaraizu ,the representatives of the State Commandant, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mr Udoh and that of the Zonal Commanding Officer , Federal Road Safety Corps, Assistant Corp Commander Emmanuel Ihechere, youths were reminded of the need to law-abiding, security conscious as well as resisting anything that will push them into drug-related issues, cultism and misbehaviours while driving leading to road crashes amongst others.
The Rector of the college Dr.John Imaimo was on the ground as the host and spoke on the need for the student to be law abiding.
