ENUGU- PROFESSOR of alternative medicine, Prof. Joseph Okoro Akpa, has introduced a new scientific method in Alternative Medicine capable of treating all kinds of diseases. The new method is called REIKI, a Japanese word meaning universal energy – energy coming from God.
Akpa who is also the traditional Prime Minister of Ekpulato Mgbowo, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, disclosed this when he performed the traditional ‘Iriji ‘, New Yam festival at his country, Mgbowo at the weekend.
He explained that REIKI is a discipline in energy health which is purely scientific and that he is championing it world wide under the umbrella of Foundation for Energy Health International.
“REIKI is applied in the healing of not only diseases, solution of all human health problems, but also used in the solution of individual problems, social maladies, resolution of conflicts, etc.
“The action of REIKI transcends into space and time and can be applied to a new and distant place. Just as you stay in the radio station and send message to radio listeners as well as stay in the TV station to send signal to the television viewers,”he explained the method and efficacy of the new scientific energy health method.
He also explained that he would apply the REIKI method to practically heal people in his community, the state and all parts of Nigeria to prove the authenticity of the method.
“My people, having unveiled Reiki today, I can apply it in the healing of all kinds of diseases, solutions to personal, group problems and present Reiki Energy to the Nigerian people, to all the states of the Federation hoping to amend all the disadvantages in Nigeria today. No matter what happens, I will not relent because it is a mission towards conquering darkness, “He points out.
The erudite professor further pointed out that his intention is to ensure that Reiki is known, not only in Nigeria but all over the world.
His words: “It is my intention to transform this country into an international country of excellence in Energy Health where people from foreign countries will be trooping not only for treatment but for training.”
He used the occasion of the new yam festival to announce that he would offer free three day medical treatment to all and sundry in his community in the spirit of the new scientific energy health, Reiki.
Prof. Akpa, who is equally a social critique and commentator, said that the socio-economic problem Nigeria is imbued with is a Karmic problem that can only be solved spiritually, and pointed out that nobody in particular, not even government should be blamed for the woes Nigeria is faced with.
“In our country today, there is too much ethnicity consciousness, each hating each other that it is now difficult for different ethnic groups to come together and eat as we are doing today. We have heard stories of some youths dying in the desert, being drowned in the seas in the struggle to cross.
“The result of the diagnoses in Nigeria and Nigerian problems are spiritual, psychological, emotional, mental and physical sickness. This is a Karmic effect and nobody or government should actually be blamed. Nigeria and Nigerians need a kind of healing that will restore confidence, love, peace, harmony, bring abundance and wealth, ” he posits.
