Deltans have been assured of steady and evenly distributed power Supply in every part of the state.
The Commissioner for Energy, Rt. Hon. Basil Ganagana, gave the assurance in a town hall meeting held in Bomadi, Bomadi Local Gvernment Area of Delta State.
Hon. Ganagana while addressing the people of Bomadi, explained that the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led administration was committed to wealth creation, saying availability power had to be put in place to achieved that objective.
The commissioner who also inspected the completed Bomadi Electricity Towers project said that Nigerian Electricity Management Service (NEMSA) had inspected the towers and that the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC ) would come to connect community to the national grid as soon as NEMSA certified it.
Hon. Ganagana admonished the people of Bomadi to pay electricity bills and cooperate with BEDC during enumeration and connection exercise.
He assured that their appeal has been noted and would be taken into consideration.
Earlier, Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Council, Mr William Agandi, appealed to the state government to energize Bomadi town and its environs explaining that Bomadi is a confluence town.
The chairman also appealed that streetlights should be provided for the community, explaining that it would help to curb crime in the area.
He assured the state government of the people’s cooperation with BEDC Officials while appealing to BEDC to provide them with individual prepaid metres.
