“I want to assure you that the state government is passionate about your security, it has made adequate arrangement for your safety wherever you are posted to serve.

“We shall continue to recognise, motivate and reward excellence by granting honours and awards to those of you who perform excellently at the end of the service year,” he said.

Ugwuanyi urged them to leverage on the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurial Development programmes of the scheme to develop their potentials.

“Our government will continue to provide the support needed to achieve the objectives of the NYSC scheme.

“So we urge employers of labour in both public and private sectors in the state to accept corps members posted to them,” he said.

Ugwuanyi appealed to the corps members to emulate the footprints of their predecessors who he said made positive impacts on the state.

Earlier, Mr Stephen Dewan, NYSC Coordinator in the state, urged the corps members to make themselves relevant in their host communities and places of primary assignments.

Dewan urged the corps members to continue with post-camp skills acquisition training in order to adequately prepare for self-employment after the service year.
