Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has reportedly demolished a radio station less than two months after he commissioned it.
The station was demolished in the early hour of Saturday, May 20, by workers of Nasarawa Urban Development Board (NUDB) who were supposed to be on strike.
The radio station called Breeze 99.9 FM is owned by former governorship aspirant and chieftain of People’s Democratic Party, Dr Nawani Aboki.
It was commissioned by Governor Al-Makura on March 30, 2017 but less than two months after; the governor ordered it to be demolished.
Reports indicated that trouble started when the radio station allegedly aired complaints by staff of the state who are on strike over unpaid salary.
