ENUGU- A non-governmental organization, NGO, Quintessential Business Women Association has urged members to evaluate businesses before investing in them.
The association noted that evaluation of business would allow entrepreneurs know the business strategies like the raw materials to be used, how to supply the products and consistency in business.
The South -East zonal Coordinator, Mrs Izuchukwu Nebo made this call during a 2-day workshop on Economic Empowerment held at St. Joseph Institute Amaigbo lane, Enugu on weekend.
According to her “Training and empowering women and youths helps you to have the skills and know how to go about the business but before you invest the money, you need to assess the business to know the strategies to achieve success”.

“Evaluation of business will help you to know the raw materials to be used to make profits and how to supply your goods”, she pointed out.
According to Nebo during the 2-days training, the association focused on training and empowering women and youths in Agriculture and solid mineral sector to boost economy.
She disclosed that the vision of the association is to make Nigeria women a top player in the global market and mission is to connect and support women in business and leadership while maintaining the highest standard of ethics and values.
“Quintessential business women Association is a social business enterprise and pressure group focused on the development of community-based businesses in the Agricultural and solid mineral sector”.
“The quest to change the way business is done by our women and youths to effectively control agriculture and raw materials is the inspiration of our association”, She disclosed.
Enugu Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Poverty Alleviation, Deacon Obinna Mbeke urged women and youths to acquire skills and knowledge that would help them eradicate poverty in future and promised to help them get capital from the state SME center with lower interest rate.
Deacon Mbaeke, represented by HOD Poverty Alleviation Department of the Ministry, Mr Patric Ezeora k lauded the association for training and empowering women and youths which is in consonant with his ministry.
Abia State Women coordinator, Mrs Anioji Victred expressing joy said that the association has successfully directed women and youths to effective business success through training.
Anioji called on government to come to their financial aid promising that through Quintessential that government would reach women and youths in the grassroots for empowerment.
“The program aimed at directing women and youths on how and where to channel their business to achieve success.
“We seek for government support to empower our trained women and youths especially at the grassroots level”, Anioji added.
