The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has floored the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress , APC and the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Enugu State.
This was based on the collation of results at the Independent National Electoral Commission Enugu State collation centre at Independence Layout, Enugu.
Obi won all the seventeen local government areas of the state.
The LGAs are Aninri, Awgu, Enugu East, Enugu North, Enugu South, EZEAGU, Isi Uzo, Igbo EZE South , Igbo EZE NORTH, Igbo ETITI, Nkanu West, Nkanu East, Nsukka, Oji River, Udi, and Uzo Uwani, Udenu.
Obi polled a total of 428640 votes while ATIKU garnered a total of 15749 votes.
The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Ahmed BOLA Tinubu had a total of 4772 votes while the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, had a total of 1808 votes.
Obi was therefore declared winner of the presidential election in Enugu State.
