KEBETKACHE releases report on Participatory Budgeting and Fair Taxation

KEBETKACHE Women Development & Resource Centre has released reports of budget and tax implementation from some states in the South-South and South East.

The states include; Cross Rivers, Delta and Enugu.

The centre unveiled the reports during a virtual media parley with journalists held on Friday June 26, 2020.

Some of the reports from the budget monitoring teams focused on low budget implementation, poor access roads, lack of health/ medical centres, lack public secondary schools, poor water supply as well as high rate of illiteracy .

The group expressed concern over multiple taxation arbitrarily imposed on artisans and market women and charged governments at all levels on full implementation of budgetary allocations.
