The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu, has visited Headquarters of the 82 Division, Nigerian Army, Enugu, to pay respect to the late Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja.
Signing the condolence register on Thursday, the commissioner extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division, Maj.-Gen. Hassan Dada, senior officers and soldiers of the Division.
“The late COAS, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, was a remarkable officer and we pray for the repose of his soul in the bossom of the Almighty,” he said.
The state police boss was warmly received during the visit by the Acting Chief of Staff to the GOC and Commander 54 Signal Brigade, Brig.-Gen. Olayinka Zubairu, in company of the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 82 Division, Lt.-Col. Jonah Unuakhalu.
