Henry Nnanna Okeke is an Enugu Based Legal Practitioner who hails from IHE , Mbanabo, Awgu LGA of Enugu State.
He started his Leadership Career as a Law Student back in Enugu State University of Science and Technology when he was elected unopposed as a Class Representative, and then later as the RT. Hon. Speaker of the Students Union House of Parliament. “The Speaker of the whole ESUT” as he is fondly called by ESUT Comrades, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke is a highly gifted Leader who believes in Team Work. Nnanna’s oratorical power gave the Students Community a voice in the university community.
Because of his interest in the welfare of his people, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke was unanimously elected as the President of IHE Undergraduate Association at a very young age. He used the position to ensure that the welfare and overall interest of IHE and Mbanabo Students were protected.
A former Legal Officer and Captain in the Federal Road Safety Commission where he served in various positions of experience as follows: ServiCom Officer FRSC South East Zonal Office, Sector Legal Officer in many States in Nigeria, Senior Law Lecturer in the Road Safety Academy, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke has contributed to National Development by training thousands of Road Safety Officers and Marshalls across Nigeria on Road Safety Laws and Regulations.
Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke used his position as a Federal Road Safety Officer to open employment opportunities for his people of AWGU NORTH – Mbanabo. While in the Federal Road Safety Commission and even now, due to his track record of meritorious services to the Federation, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke is still a reference point for his people on issues relating to Road Safety.
A great innovator who has demonstrated that we can do things in a Standard way, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke as a Special Assistant to the Governor initiated the creation of Enugu Safety Group, ESG. The ESG is a volunteer group he has used as Aide to Governor Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi to safeguard lives especially in his Mbanabo AWGU NORTH State Constituency. Enugu Safety Group ESG has trained and certified 360 Okada and Keke Riders in the Rural Areas, especially in Mbanabo. This great effort has drastically reduced avoidable deaths in Mbanabo which was majorly caused by untrained transporters.
Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke is a “home boy” who understands the need of his people of AWGU NORTH that was why he trained Commercial Riders for Free. Proving that he learned something from his works at Federal Road Safety Commission.
A “local breed” who followed his mother to all the markets in Mbanabo and Enugu State as Petty Traders, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke in his characteristics penchant for progressive thinking and giving back to the society, Nnanna uniquely introduced SHOP LOCAL philosophy which he used to visit the local markets he once traded in as a lad and gave financial grants to traders to encourage rural economic development in AWGU NORTH. Today, his other name is MR. SHOP LOCAL and the federal government has adopted the SHOP LOCAL philosophy.
As a Lawyer, he has written many Books, Articles and many Publications in Law, Politics, Administration and Public Safety.
A successful young professional, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke is a Senior Lawyer who has offered Free Legal Services to the less previleged over the years. By the Grace of God, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke is the first Lawyer in Enugwu Echi IHE Autonomous Community.
Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke, a philanthropist who currently has indigent students and pulpils under his yearly budget , rural people friendly, strong believer in God, innovator, experienced Lawyer, Barr. Nnanna is a child of Destiny.
A safety and security expert, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke has supported Mbanabo Neighborhood Watch – Rural Security Efforts of the State Government with donation of various Security Gadgets to boost Security in IHE, Mbanabo AWGU NORTH. A Lover of his own people of Mbanabo.
A devoted member of the People’s Democratic Party, Barr. Henry Nnanna Okeke as one of the major stakeholders in PDP IHE Ward supports the PDP regularly.
