The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu, Mr. Frank Nweke Jr, has described his purported endorsement the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as completely false.
Nweke said he never in any interview granted on Friday or before it, endorsed TInubu or could had been misconstrued as such.
This is contained in a statement by his Campaign Organisation and made available to newsmen on Friday in Enugu.
Nweke was reacting to news report by online news platforms, not DomeNews, suggesting that the APGA gubernatorial candidate had endorsed Ahmed BOLA TINUBU as his preferred presidential candidate for the 2023 general election.
Nweke said the two news items where concocted from the imagination of mischievous individuals and published the online platforms.
‘While our stance remains to focus on the issues that affect Enugu people, we find it necessary to address these wrong assertions.
“I do not endorse nor support Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress”.Nweke said.
He stated that the report by a supposed Godwin Eze of Frank Nweke Jnr’ s endorsement of Bola Ahmed Tinubu was completely false and mischievous adding that the accusatory and dismal piece by one Innocent Chukwu which was published on another website is libelous, inane and completely untrue.
“Our lawyers will be in touch with both organisations forthwith to seek redress.
“We remain focused on our goals and will not be distracted by propaganda. We also encourage all our supporters to do the same,” Nweke added.
