IN accordance with the promotion of Soldiers, the Nigerian Army will on Monday 16th of October begin the 2017 Captain to Major practical promotion examination at 82 Division, Enugu State.
The Commander, Training and Doctrine Command, TRADOC, Major General Rasheed Olawuyi Yusuf, disclosed that the practical examination would determine who would move to the next level in the ranking pyramid of Nigeria Army.
Major Rasheed who made this known while addressing candidates at 82 Division, Enugu warned all the candidates to desist from examination malpractice.
Major Rasheed, who is also the examination President urged those that are participating in the exam to put in all their best to make sure they pass the exam.
“The examination is intended to test the intellectual and professional ability of the candidates as well as to improve their capacity and knowledge base in the discharge of their duties.
“You are advised not to bring anything that will implicate you during the examination like phone, notebook You should not discuss among yourselves during the examination”, he advised.
He also disclosed that the candidates will be tested on map reading, tactics and low intensity conflicts, communications, staff duties and French language.
Also speaking during the opening ceremony, General Officer Commanding, GOC, 82 Division Enugu, Major General Adamu Baba Abubakar, welcomed all the candidates to 82 Division Enugu and urged them to concentrate on the promotion examinations.
GOC Abubakar who advised the candidate not to get involved in any form of malpractice pointed out that of them found cheating during the examination would be punished according to the rules of the Nigerian Army.
He disclosed that those who prepared well for the examination would find it easy and cautioned those that believed in miracle that there is nothing like miracle in examinations.
“Those that know what they want will make it and there is no miracle in examinations for those that believed in miracle”, Abubakar advised.
