Member representing Nkanu East Constituency, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor has emerged Chairman, House Committee, Rural Development and Community and Social Development Projects, CSDP.
The amiable and vibrant lawmaker was Chairman, House Committee on Information in the Sixth Assembly were he led major reforms efforts to ensure state-owned media organizations work optimally.
It was during his time as Chairman has committee on Information that a robust synergy was achieved with private-owned media organizations in the state to ensure seamless dissemination of information on activities of the Sixth Assembly.
This was announced by the Speaker Rt Hon Edward Uchenna Ubosi on Tuesday,s plenary .
The Speaker of the Assembly, Edward Ubosi announced leadership and membership of the 23 Standing Communities on Tuesday, 2nd July, 2019 as the House resumed sitting after its inauguration June 10, 2019.
The committees include; Youth and Sports and Security Matters, Agriculture And Natural Resources, health, local govt. inter, Works, Housing And Urban Development, Judicary, Public Petition, Ethics, Information/Communication, Civil Service and Labour Matters, Economic Development And Poverty Reduction, MDG And NGOS as well as Tenders Board, Public Account, Anti- Corruption, Chieftaincy, Culture And Tourism, Petroleum Resources And Environmental Management, Education, Science And Technology, Finance And Appropriation Transport/Inter-Governmental and House Services, Enugu Capital Territory, Gender Affairs, Commerce and Industry, Rules and Business, Rural Development & CSDP,) Water Resources, House Committee on Lands and Foreign Investment.
Hon. Paul Nnajiofor, of Nkanu East will head Rural Development and SDG; Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu of Udenu, Tender Board, Rules and Business, Hon. Ibekaku Onoh of Enugu North, Lands and Foreign Investment.
Also, Hon.Geoffrey Mbah representing Oji-River constituency will be in charge of the House committee on Information and Communication while James Akadu of Igbo Etiti West will chair Education, Science and Technology Committee.
