Member representing Nkanu east State constituency Chief Paul Nnajiofor has emerged has clinched the Peoples Democratic Party candidate to represent the area for a second term.
The incumbent lawmaker emerged the sole candidate of the party in the primary election held at Amagunze, Nkanu east headquarters after his only contender, Martins Agbo stepped down.
He garnered 147 valid votes cast by delegates from the 14 electoral wards as 5 votes were declared invalid.

In a remark, Nnajiofor thanked the PDP delegates for returning him and promised to double his effort in robust contributions to legislative debates to bring about laws that will improve the quality of lives of the people.
Nnajiofor who is currently House committee Chairman on Information thanked Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for ensuring the conduct of fair and peaceful primary election in the state.
