Member representing Isoko South Constituency II in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Ferguson Onwo, on Sunday sent felicitation message to General Alex Ogomudia (Rtd) on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
In a statement obtained from Hon Onwo and made available through his media office, he described Ogomudia as a man with indomitable spirit who stood for peace, promotion of civil-military relationship and ensured a stabilized nation while he held sway as Chief of Defence Staff between June 2003- June 2006.
He thanked Gen. Ogomudia for ensuring that under his watch the democratic institution was respected and for setting a pace for other serving military officers to follow.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Isoko South Constituency II, I join all well-wishers to felicitate with former Chief of Defence Staff, an illustrious son of Isoko, our father and leader, Gen Alex Ogomudia as he clocks 70 years today.
“He is a peace-maker who was involved in peace-keeping across the globe while he served as a military officer”.
“To me, this is a celebration of accomplishments and I pray that Almighty God should protect and uplift him as he continues to support the course of peace and development.”
