OKOWA GETS COMMENDATION FOR MASSIVE ROADS CONSTRUCTION

THE Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has been commended for the numerous infrastructural developments, including roads construction and rehabilitation across the various communities of the State.

A frontline Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) leader in Ibusa and one-time member Board of Directors of Arts and Culture, Hon Austine Ojeogbue Nnabuife, made the commendation while speaking with newsmen in Asaba.

Nnabuife, who described the governor as a quiet go-getter, stated that Deltans, since the inception of the present administration, have never had it so well, in spite of the economic recession plaguing the country.

He noted that one of the significant achievements of Senator Okowa’s two years in office so far was the ongoing massive construction of link roads, provision of an enabling environment for the people of the state and the job creation for skilled youth workers, among others.

Hon. Nnabuife enjoined all well-meaning Deltans to rally round the Okowa administration so as to enable him complete his tenure successfully and make a return back in 2019 to take the state to an enviable height.

He also appealed for the rehabilitation of the Ezukwu Achalla –Ashiante road now in a very deplorable condition.

In another development, a senator representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi, Hon. Princess Pat Ajudua, representing Oshimili North in the State Assembly, the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, the Chairman, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Mr. Louis Ndukwe and all other political office holders including the chairman of PDP in the area, Chief Nduka Ogwuda thanked Deltans for rallying round the governor and ensuring good representation of the people.
