Okowa inaugurates board of DESOPADEC, others

Delta State Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa inaugurated the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), the Local Government Services Commission and swore in the Auditor-General of the state, Mr Paul Aghanenu.

Those inaugurated as members of DESOPADEC Board are; Hon. Michael Diden, Chief Askia Ogieh, Mr Shedrack Agediga, Barr. Leonard Anoka, Hon. Daniel Mayuku and Hon. John Nani.

Others are Dr. Paul Oweh, Chief Kent Okiemute, Hon. Joyce Overah, Arch. Anselm Nwokenye, Mr. Paul Bebenimibo, Mr. Ikechukwu Akozor, Chief Vincent Oyibode and Dr. Ossai Ochonogor Samuel (Representative of Oil Producing Areas in the State).”

The members of Local Government Service Commission inaugurated are Hon. Joseph Otirhue, Pastor Chukwuka Greatman, Hon. Katherine Ilolo and Chief (Mrs.) Rose Asore.

While congratulating the appointees, Governor Okowa specifically urged members of the Board of DESOPADEC to ensure that projects were executed according to the needs of the people and locals should not be excluded from the process of project execution.

“You must be fair, equitable and just, and let me hasten to add that this administration will NOT hesitate to sanction any erring board member in accordance with the provis
