Okowa Urges Christians To Remain United For A Peaceful Nation

GOVERNOR of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has urged Christians to remain united in ensuring a peaceful and progressive nation.

The Governor made the call on Saturday at the 60th birthday celebration of Bishop Kingsley Enakirerhi, Chairman, Delta State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and General Overseer of Heroes of Faith Ministries. The occasion was also, to celebrate 25th anniversary of Heroes of Faith and 35 years of Bishop Enakirhehi in the Ministry.
According to Governor Okowa, “Christians have done a lot for this country, there is still a lot to be done, and the Church must remain united for us to succeed as a nation.”
“A praying Church must always succeed; the pains of today will soon be over, but, it is a gradual process”.
Governor Okowa who was accompanied to the venue by members of the state executive council and other political aides congratulated Bishop Enakirerhi for the triple celebration. He also called on Christians “to continue to evangelize and win souls because, a righteous people will attract a lot; continue to pray for us as a people, as a state and as a nation.”
He challenged the celebrant to remain focused and mentor others.
Bishop Enakirheri stated that the church has a lot of roles to play in complementing the efforts of government to ensure a better society, noting that Governor Okowa’s administration has done a lot to improve on the lives of Deltans.
Religious leaders, traditional rulers, among others, attended the ceremony.
