In the spirit of compassion and community support in the yuletide, Ejike Alumona, a renowned philanthropist, has extended a helping hand to over 2,000 women in Inyi, Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The gesture, which took place at his country home saw the distribution of essential food items, including bags of rice, tomatoes, and groundnut oil, aimed at alleviating hardship during the festive season.
The event was filled with joy and gratitude as beneficiaries expressed appreciation for Alumona’s generosity.
Speaking during the distribution, Alumona emphasized his commitment to improving the welfare of the people, particularly women, who play a pivotal role in nurturing families and sustaining communities.
He said the annual exercise is part of the Ejike Alumona’s Foundation vision in improving the wellbeing and welfare of the people.
According to him, his modest effort will enable the people celebrate the Christmas with joy and happiness.
Alumona stated that the lack of access to medical help brought about the introduction of the medical outreach and called on other well-meaning Individuals to use their God-given blessings to help humanity.
Beneficiaries lauded the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful especially in this period of economic hardship.
Speaking, Ndidi AMAKA Edim, CEO, Amaka Edim Maternity Home who led a team of health personnel to the outreach said they carried out various tests on the people and prescribed drugs for them assuring continued partnership with the foundation.
