The Nasarawa Police Command says it has arrested three suspected cultists who had been disturbing the peace of residents of Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Ramhan Nansel, stated this while speaking with our Correspondent on Saturday in Lafia.
He explained that the suspected cultists, led by one Timothy Ishaya, a 21-year-old man, had been on the wanted list of the Police for constantly terrorising and disturbing the peace of residents of the area.

“While intensifying search for cultists who had been on the wanted list of the command’s anti-cultism unit for a series of criminal activities in Akwanga LGA, Police operatives attached to the Akwanga division raided a notorious criminal hideout called Kotto, where three suspected cultists were arrested.
“One axe, dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, two necklaces with occultic pendants and a calabash filled with charms were recovered from them as exhibits”, the Police spokesman added.
ASP Nansel said that the suspects have been charged to court.
