Police seek owner of abandoned Toyota Prado found in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has called on the owner of an abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser, discovered on December 31, 2024, to visit the police headquarters for identification and possible recovery.

According to the command, the vehicle was found at 11:30 am by operatives from the Durumi Division during a routine patrol along David Ejoor Street, opposite Adisa Estate, Apo-Gudu.

A notice issued by the FCT Police Command spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, on Friday stated that the vehicle had no registration number, chassis number, or engine number.

She said, “Upon inspection, the vehicle was found without a registration number. A thorough search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following items were recovered from inside: one silver-coloured eagle insignia, some video/audio cables, and one car stereo remote.

“Further investigations revealed that the sticker showing the engine and chassis numbers near the driver’s door had been removed, and the windscreen appeared to have been recently replaced. The vehicle has since been towed to the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II.”

Adeh urged anyone with a missing vehicle matching the description to come forward with proof of ownership.
