Police trailing kidnappers of Catholic priests — Delta PPRO

The Delta State Police Command says the command is on the trail of the kidnappers who abducted two Catholic priests in the state.

The two priests, Rev. Fr. Raphael Ogigbah, parish priest of St. Francis Agbarha-Otor, Warri Diocese, and  Rev Fr. Kunav Chochos, Schoenstartt Fathers, from Ibadan, Oyo State, were reportedly kidnapped in Agbarha-Otor, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, by gunmen on Saturday night.

Confirming the incident in Asaba on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Bright Edafe, said the command was on the trail of the abductors in a bid to rescue the victims.

He said, “Yes, it is confirmed but no details now. We are investigating and seriously on the trail to rescue the victims.
“The command is intensifying efforts to rescue them and arrest the perpetrators.”
