The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN has announced the death of the only surviving Chimpanzee in its zoo.
The Head of Department, Zoology and Environmental Studies Prof. Chris Okoye announced the unfortunate death of the Chimpanzee.

In a statement, Professor Okoye said “we regret to announce the death of the only surviving Chimpanzee in the University of Nigeria Nsukka zoo”.
According to Prof. Okoye, the late Chimpanzee has since been embalmed adding that “the Chimpanzee lost ‘his wife’ 5yrs ago”.
