Contractors handling Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) projects in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu have been given ninety days to complete projects from 2014 to 2016 or risk being blacklisted.
This was the resolution of the house after the consideration of a report presented by the houseHouseittee chairman on education Mathew Ugwueze on the floor of the House.
Ugwueze in a report presented to the House, decried the inability of IMT in accessing 2014, 2015 and the 2016 TETFUND.
In the report, Ugwueze explained that TETFUND increased the financial profile of higher institutions in developing the facilities and enhancing research while decrying the backwardness of IMT in accessing its statutory Tertiary education funding as a result of the activities of contractors who have for many years abandoned such projects and cannot be reached.
